REMEMBERING

I remember going to Kindergarten. One day, I remember well. My younger sister had to stand in the corner, because she kept talking. I cried about it and she just stood in the corner.

I had a Doll House made out of tin, I guess. I played with that everyday.
I would take all the furniture out and mop each room with a wet rag. Wipe the furniture off, as I placed each piece back in it's room.
{Wish I could keep my house as clean as I did that Doll House.}

Great Hopes

When I first thought of writing this blog, I really had great hopes for it. Oh, I had planned on sharing my childhood dreams and things I did that made me, me. Something happened along the way and I really have not shared anything with them.

I really believed people when they told me things. I guess I still do. Mother taught us the night prayer --- Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. Mother had a corner what not shelf, and on one of the shelves she had a little black boy, eating a watermelon. She also had a statue of Jesus. Every morning when I woke up, she said I would not speak to anyone till I had gone over to the shelf and said, "Good morning little black boy, good morning Jesus."

My Really Young Days

When I was real young, we lived around Mobile. Daddy worked for the Shipyards.

Another place we lived was Old Alabama Town. Now, I've been told this. We lived in a house that set up off the ground. I would get a spoon and crawl under the house and eat dirt. Now how gross can you get? Well, read on.

When company came over and the grown-ups were playing games, I would crawl under the table and lick the bottom of their shoes. I also enjoyed licking the screens on the window.

I have grossed you out enough, so I will say good night.
