My Daddy always told me,you need to have a good memory. He said to
place one thing in your head, and when you think of that you will
remember the rest of what you see.
It really works. I can remember when I was a child. But Parkinson is taking my today memory away.

REMEMBERING
I remember going to Kindergarten. One day, I remember well. My younger sister had to stand in the corner, because she kept talking. I cried about it and she just stood in the corner.
I had a Doll House made out of tin, I guess. I played with that everyday.
I would take all the furniture out and mop each room with a wet rag. Wipe the furniture off, as I placed each piece back in it's room.
{Wish I could keep my house as clean as I did that Doll House.}

Great Hopes
When I first thought of writing this blog, I really had great hopes for it. Oh, I had planned on sharing my childhood dreams and things I did that made me, me. Something happened along the way and I really have not shared anything with them.
I really believed people when they told me things. I guess I still do. Mother taught us the night prayer --- Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. Mother had a corner what not shelf, and on one of the shelves she had a little black boy, eating a watermelon. She also had a statue of Jesus. Every morning when I woke up, she said I would not speak to anyone till I had gone over to the shelf and said, "Good morning little black boy, good morning Jesus."

My Really Young Days
When I was real young, we lived around Mobile. Daddy worked for the Shipyards.
Another place we lived was Old Alabama Town. Now, I've been told this. We lived in a house that set up off the ground. I would get a spoon and crawl under the house and eat dirt. Now how gross can you get? Well, read on.
When company came over and the grown-ups were playing games, I would crawl under the table and lick the bottom of their shoes. I also enjoyed licking the screens on the window.
I have grossed you out enough, so I will say good night.

My Birth Place
I was born in the month of March 1941, in Montgomery, Alabama. It was on an early Friday morning. You know that poem---Friday's child is loving and giving. That's me.
The President of the USA was Franklin D. Roosevelt. Look up on GOOGLE to see who the President was when you were born.

INTRODUCTION
This is all about me and I leave it to my grandchildren and on down the line. I have nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Five of my grandchildren call me Meema and four call me Grandma. The great grandchild will probably call me Grandma. Fine with me what they call me, as long as they call me.
At the time of this writing, I am sixty-eight years old. For some reason, children have the idea that their grandparents have always been old. Maybe that is our fault because we have not showed them pictures of when we were children.
I hope each one that reads this enjoys it and maybe it will inspire you to write about your childhood.
